YRGC is joining together with WhiteDove Ministries of Orange Beach, Ala., Freedom Church of Pensacola, Fla., and Frontline Ministries of Gulf Shores, Ala. to aid in Hurricane Florence relief efforts. This Thursday morning, September 20th, a team of about 20 representing each of these local ministries will take four vehicles and two trailers to help victims of the recent storm that impacted the east coast over the weekend.
“We are excited to partner with other local ministries, combining resources and manpower to help provide relief in the areas devasted by Hurricane Florence,” said David Williams, Director of YRGC. “We are coordinating our relief efforts with a New Bern, North Carolina pastor and his church.”
The heavy rains, flooding and wind gusts brought by Hurricane Florence affected millions of people in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Although the storm touched down Friday morning as a Category 1 hurricane and was quickly downgraded to a tropical depression as it continued its trek inland, the storm still caused significant damage.
The ministries are inviting anyone who would like to support this disaster relief mission to visit the YRGC website “Give Now” page at: www.youthreachgc.org/give-now
Information about the relief efforts is also available on the YRGC Facebook and Instagram pages.
