Youth Reach Gulf Coast (YRGC) has always been a community-supported organization and we are grateful to have the opportunity to help our Gulf Coast neighbors in the aftermath of Hurricane Sally. We are committed to making our disaster relief services available for as long as needed. If you need help, please contact YRGC Chief Financial Officer, Caleb Davis, at caleb@youth-reach.org and provide the following details:
- First and last name
- Street address
- Phone number
- A brief description of your need
- 3-5 photos of your need
Hours after the hurricane’s passing, YRGC mobilized a team from White Dove Ministries, Freedom Church, Frontline Ministries, and Operation Lost Sheep to help with relief efforts. Our staff, residents and partners are assisting with tree and debris removal, installing tarps on homes with damaged roofs, demolishing flooded homes, and addressing other pressing community needs.
In the past month, we have received an outpouring of support from our friends in the community. Melanie Martin, owner of Melanie Martin Interiors, donated chainsaws that allow us to better serve the Gulf Coast and Jennifer Blanchard, owner of Gulf Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Inc., provided lunch one day for all of our disaster relief crews.
Additionally, Feed the Hungry USA, a national non-profit dedicated to feeding the hungry and providing emergency relief to victims of natural disasters, donated 50 pallets of food and drinks to support our Hurricane Sally relief efforts.
We are truly grateful for all of our supporters who invest in this ministry and have a heart for our community.
At YRGC, we are dedicated to serving our community as we continue to rebuild the Gulf Coast. For those who can, please prayerfully consider supporting our disaster relief efforts. Your generosity will help provide us with fuel for vehicles and chainsaws, food for our team, and additional items needed to serve those impacted by Hurricane Sally.
Thank you! A couple of days after hurricane Sally, we flagged down a gentleman on a tractor and a young man on an all terrain vehicle on Cty rd 83 in Elberta. We needed help getting plywood on our roof. It was late in the day and raining. Even though they were headed home, they kindly stopped and helped us. Their kindness will never be forgotten! Serving others is following what Christ did. Thank you so much. God bless you both!
